- After losing both parents 8 weeks apart in 2009 I almost pulled the plug on racing; thankfully I didn’t! After getting through the hardest time in my life I have had my best years racing yet, getting 4th at Cyclocross Nationals in December and going on to place 4th at Short Track Nationals in July. With the support of the Stan’s NoTubes Elite Cyclocross Team I am gunning for a slot on the 2012 US Worlds CX Team. Needless to say, I am so glad I did quit!!

Kathy - Strange and unsettling indeed! Prefer sometimes to live in bucolic ignorance. Congratulations on your fantastic start to the season! I very much looking forward to following the adventure. The destinations on your mountain bike calendar seem far superior to mine on the road... Who knows though, I might fall in love with Anniston, Alabama. Rock on!
